2023 ANNUAL TREE PLANTING 

The Tree & Beautification Committee oversees many programs that support the beautification of the Village.  They offer annual tree planting programs to residents, issue tree removal permits and supervise seasonal plantings in the Business District.

The Village wide tree planting initiative takes place in the fall.  Trees are available at greatly reduced rates for residents wishing to plant a new tree in the front of their property.  Applications for the 2023 tree planting are being accepted now through November 1st.

MALVERNE TREE POLICY

A Village-wide tree policy was enacted in July of 2019 to ensure that for any trees removed in Malverne, an acceptable tree is replanted. Our Village Arborist identified species of trees that are conducive to our environment by providing a canopy without significant disturbance to sidewalks and power lines. This new streamlined process allows eligible residents to receive costs sharing from the Village for the newly planted trees.
