Mayor Corbett and the Village Board are happy to restore the park along the train station on Hempstead Avenue at no costs to the Village taxpayer. Expanding upon the Village's first annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness month, in September 2020, the Mary Ruchalski Foundation has generously assisted with the replacement of diseased and compromised greenery at the Park. At this years second Annual Malverne Pediatric Cancer Awareness month, in September, the fountain will once again be gold and brand new and improved landscaping will be available to be enjoyed by residents for years to come.
A special thank you to the Malverne DPW for their support. The Village Board looks forward to installing a beautiful plaque in honor of the Mary Ruchalski Foundation and continuing this new Malverne tradition for years to come.
