🚨Road closure & train disruption alert! 🚨
Rail work on the West Hempstead Branch will occur from 1 AM Saturday, January 11, to 1 AM Monday, January 13, closing crossings in Malverne, Lakeview, and West Hempstead for about two hours each.
Affected crossings include:
- Franklin/Hempstead Avenues (Saturday morning)
- Hempstead/Ocean Avenues (Saturday afternoon)
- Woodfield/Eagle Avenues (early Sunday morning).
MTAPD will manage closures, and schedules may shift.
From 5 AM Saturday to 2 AM Monday, buses will replace trains between Valley Stream and West Hempstead. Trains will run between Grand Central/Jamaica and Valley Stream, with bus transfers for West Hempstead stops.
