The construction of our new police department headquarters is well under way and the General Contractor and all of the trades are making great progress in a well-coordinated effort to complete the project late Summer 2024.

LATEST UPDATE:
The Village of Malverne celebrated a ribbon cutting dedication ceremony of the new headquarters to the Malverne Police Department on Sept 20th, ready for move-in.

The Malverne Police Department began operating out of the new headquarters building on December 2, 2024. Minor details remain a work in progress.

• Plumbing: rough-in 100% complete

• Electrical: rough-in 100% complete

• Insulation: 100% complete

• HVAC: 100% complete

• Drywall: 100% complete

• Spackle: 100%

• Ceilings: 100% complete

• Painting: 100%

• Flooring: 100%

• Exterior concrete work: 100%

• Parking lot paving: 100% complete

• Tele-data wiring: 100%

• Access control: 100%

• Surveillance: 100%

• Furniture: 100%

• Landscaping: 100%

• Utility hookups: 100% (water, sewage, electric, gas)

• Roof screening to be installed to hide the exterior duct work (scheduling)
